2014-07-31On 7/31/14 at approximately 1130, a customer took cab from station 2. She claimed drivere treating her differentlybecause she was local. 2014-08-06On 8/6/14 @ 1300, a customer and her family were assigned to vehicle and were headed for Young Brothers. They said that the driver was rude, treated them unprofessionally, had an attitude, and no Aloha spirit.8/11/14 9:10 a.m. Driver stated that he explained where the thermostat was and that they could adjust it as they see fit. Driver told them he would bring them back to the station so they could get another driver. Explained violation 17 to the driver. Driver suspended Tuesday, August 12, 2014 0600 till Thursday, August 14, 2014 0559. Driver may return to work Thursday, August 14, 2014 0600.
2014-08-15On 8/15/14 @ 12:45 p.m., customer claimed he told the driver that he was paying with credit card three times, making him think that the driver didn't want his fare. When actually paying, customer claimed the driver told him how much, and "That's all." Customer irritated that driver seemed to be fishing for a tip. Local business man that wants to support local business, but not if it's like this.8/19/14 8:30 a.m. - Driver stated that he did ask the customer several times if he was paying by credit card. He didn't mean for customer to think that he didn't want his fare. Driver stated that he made a mistake with the customer. Driver apologized many times. Explained Rule 17. Driver suspended Saturday, August 23, 2014 0600 till Monday August 25, 2014 0559. Driver may return to work on August 25, 2014 0600.
2014-08-11On 8/11/14, between 1415 and 1515, customer stated that he informed the driver that he was going to Kalihi. Customer stated that he told the driver that he wanted to stop at L&L on Paiea St. first. Customer claimed driver asked him "Go on Nimitz?" to which he replied, yes. Driver was driving as if to go on H1, so the customer told the driver, "You going the wrong way." Customer claims the driver and him had an argument with the driver swearing and where the customer told him, "Let me out, I don't want to ride with you." 8/20/14 08:15 - Driver claims customer didn't tell him until the last minute that he was going to L&L. Driver stated he picked the customer up from station 4 and was proceeding to drive when almost before turning on H1, the customer told him he wanted to go to L&L. Driver stated he almost got into an accident trying to go on Paiea St. Explained Rule 17. Driver suspended Friday, August 22, 2014 0600 Sunday, August 24, 2014 0559. Driver may return to work on Sunday, August 24, 2014 0600.
2014-08-17On 8/17/14, customer complained that the driver wasn't very helpful, he had to load his own bags, the driver didn't stop the meter at the destination so the customer thought maybe the driver wanted to charge more and that the driver said "No tip?"8/20/14 1345 - Called customer to apologize on the driver's behalf, informed customer that we would be following up with the driver. 8/21/14 9:00 a.m. Explained Rule 17 to driver. Driver to be suspended Monday, August 25, 2014 0600 till Wednesday, August 27, 2014 0559. Driver may return to work on August 27, 2014 0600.
2014-08-18On 8/18/14, customer claimed that the driver couldn't accept his credit card because his machine wasn't working. Customer stated that the driver was very considerate and a gentlemen because he didn't charge for the ride.8/21/14 11:00 - Driver stated that yes, his machine wasn't working and that is why he gave the customer a free ride. Impressed upon him that he should always carry manual slips because sometimes the machine doesn't work, the battery on the machine isn't charged enough, the internet is down, etc. Explained Rule 17 to driver, driver to be suspended Monday, August 25, 2014 0600 until Wednesday, August 27, 2014 0559. Driver may return to work on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 0600.
2014-08-21 Customer stated that the driver was extremely difficult, stalled and delayed leaving with the meter running. The customer also stated that he had to insist that the driver remove his bags out of the trunk so he could take the next cab. This became a big incident with drivers. Customer stated that it reflects poorly on taxi cab drivers in Honolulu.8/25/2014 9:00 AM - Explained the customer complaint to driver. Driver stated that she apologized to young man (other driver) that the customer want to take your car. Driver suspended Tuesday, August 26, 2014 0600 until Thursday, August 28, 2014 0559. Driver may return to work Thursday, August 28, 2014 0600.
2014-09-05Taxi I took did not have Air Conditioning. I am 68 years old and a diabetic. Windows were down but that did nothing. Had I known that the taxi had no air conditioning, I would have caught the Bus for $1 instead.Driver suspended for violation of Rule 24: Code of Conduct/Driver Qualification/Vehicle Standards. Apology to customer and insured her that the problem had been corrected.
2014-09-15Customer is an ADA passenger with a electric scooter which is collapsible. She complained that the taxi driver refused to take her.Driver stated that he didn't know scooter was collapsible and initially told passenger that he couldn't lift the scooter into his taxi because of the height. Driver in violation of Rule 24: Code of Conduct/Driver Qualification/Vehicle Standards and suspended for 48 hours.
2014-09-29Yesterday we caught a cab to our home on Wilder Avenue. We didn't see the meter running, driver says the fare was $29. My wife paid the $29 plus tip. Then the driver was yelling to the Security Guard making us look like cheapskates. I want something done to this driver.Fare was $29 and some change on the meter, driver says $29 even. Lady gave driver $30 to include $1 tip. Driver states he was talking to himself (not to the Security Guard). Appears the complaint was over the issue of the $1 tip. Driver in violation of Rule 17: Customer Complaint. Suspended for 48 hours.
